I am not sure I understand the question, but Producer has an option to basically encode 'forever' and create a new output file every so often...

Well, exactly that is the problem: I can archive a file with Producer, but it's only available AFTER I stopped the broadcast. And if the encoder runs 24/7, it's practically never available...
