P4 2000, Windows XP Transcoding ac3 to Six Waves. "d:\DVD\AudioTools\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "d:\DVD\AudioTools\MPEG51audio\Test.ac3" -output "d:\DVD\AudioTools\MPEG51audio\test-" -6ch ) Writes 6 waves and crashs at end. Message window: AppName: besweet.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 0002e22a Wrong wav headers and no log has been written because log file was not closed. :(
I am having the same problem. The 6 .wav files are created, but BeSweet crashes at the end of the transcoding. It seems that the headers never get written and no log file. I too am running WinXP Pro SP1. I can play the files fine in Winamp, but cannot open them in any other program. My work around was to to use the diskwriter option of Winamp to output the same files again. They can now be opened in Soundforge for Pitch correcting. Seems like BeSweet may have some problems under WinXP - Moon1234
I was looking for the log file, but for some reason it is not being generated. BeSweet dies with a fatal exception fault at the end of the transcoding. I assume that this is when the .wav header is written. I will try it again and see if the log is generated and then deleted for some reason. One other quick question, is there any way to multiplex the 6 pitch corrected .wav's into a Multichannel .AIFF for encoding with the panasonic MPEG 5.1 encoder. The only non commercial program that I have found is pcm2aiff. This program is a pain however as I have to stip the .wav header back off of the six mono streams. Thanks, Moon1234
