Hey all, I've never heard this mentioned, but is there a down side to this idea? When the arm button is clicked on a midi track, the asio buffer latency could go to a pre-configured setting. For instance, I mix with a latency of 100ms, but when I want to record midi piano or drums, I drop it to 2ms. Couldn't this be an automatic process? What do you think? Euro
this is exactly how logic works, despite your project buffer settings during playback Logic uses 1024 sample latency, only when you engage record does the project buffer setting come into play. THe dissadvantages are poor multi threading performance, one area where reaper shines. MC
