Pro Tool on G4 iBook Running Panther

Im pretty much fed up with it, i got an mbox for my birthday and ended up getting an iBook G4 to use with it, i dont think ive been able to go a full 2 days without having to either reinstall the patch for pt le or reinstall the program, first i got the loacate a hard drive volume, the patch fixed that, now its just random errors and authorization popups!!!! Is it panther that is screwing it up?...should i buy Jaguar or what? Someone plz help

Did you upgrade to 6.2.2? I'm running it (6.2.2) on Panther 10.3.2 on my meager G3 iBook and haven't had any problems (I've been running it hard the last two days, 14-15 hours a day).

i went to the apple shop today and they said that the hard drive is screwy so im getting that replaced on tuesday, ...and yes i did upgrade
