Thanks for the reply Lee. I didn't know that Apple is so far from the PC built machines technically wise, this is sad especially the premium money we give to Apple I'm kind of stuck with this drive. My only hope is to waite for the email from Western Digital.

Digidesign recommends that you do not use drives larger than 80 gigs. You might want to partition it into (3) 60 gig drives.

Thanks Lee for all the info. I'll go for Granite Digital enclosure. There is one point about FW that I'm not shure: why Protools asks to convert eveything that comes from FireWire HD. I have ProTool 5.1.3 and it always translate the whole session just to be able to play it from FireWire Drives! THis is like importing a session and it is a lenghty process.
