Anyone have any ideas why my bass guitar tracks are all fuzzy and crappy sounding

The bass is a Godin Freeway 4 ....also....on reflection the last two songs I've done (which are the two I've had the problems with). I've had the interface practically leaning on the computer. Also....plugged into the same electrical line as my ceiling fan which was probably going. And....I also started using wireless headphones the last couple of songs and the deal that sends the signal from the device to the headphones was also plugged into that same electrical outlet and sitting close to the computer and interface. I lean my face forward so I can easily be slapped.....sigh.
