I have exactly the same problem. The reason why it stopped is that probably the maximum file limit is 4 GB ! 95 % of 4.38 GB = approximately 4 GB. What you can try is to use DVDdecrypter to demux the AC3 and M2V file of each VOB file. Then use ReMpeg2 to make each of the M2V file smaller. Then merge these M2V files to 1 file which is not bigger than 4 GB. Want to have to procedure to use ReMPEG2 to make it smaller in the quickest way, just email me at
Beware that whenever you attempt a direct-stream merge, you may get an inconsistent GOP sequence at the intersection where the clips 'join' each other. Or you may be lucky and never have any problems. This is one reason why M2-Edit Pro has the option to re-encode joined MPEG streams into a consistent new stream, although unfortunately there is always a quality drop, for obvious reasons. I suggest going with the advice for a standard (aka direct-stream) merge, just to see if all works to plan, and only worry about the above issues if you are unfortunate enough to be forced to do so! Arky ;o)
