SATA 8 MB Cache 7200RPM I am a HUGE fan of the samsung series with the 8mb cache. The SATA 10,000 RPM drives are REALLY REALLY FAST. Get one for your OS( i would partition it FYI), and one or more for audio. With SATA just use internal. Sata is FASTER than firewire with 6.9
--------------------- I don't want much from a woman. Just want a little peace and quiet. Give me a piece and I'll be quiet.
If costy is an issue, stay with the tried and true... Western Digital 8MB cache 80&120/160 Gig standard parallel bussed drives. On special, they're cheap cheap cheap and so far, reliable. No need to go firewire for your audio drive unless you plan on changing out your drive often for different sessions. Wasn't there some talk of disabling the SATA support on some of the Athlon 64 motherboards in the Allenstein threads?
