Hello All, I have a 2003 S60 D5 S Auto which has half leather heated seats. I have just bought a complete set of leather seats from a S60 SE 2006 model. I have fitted all the doors cards and the rear seats. My problem is that the plugs underneath are different which I thought they might be, I'm not afraid of rewiring but would prefer to know exactly what the plugs are before missing around. Does anyone have any details like wiring diagrams/connections for the plugs for the seats from a 2003 S60 and a 2006 model (leather powered heated)? Any help or info greatly appreciated. Also I may have to consider a Volvo specialist or auto electrician to fit this so again if anyone has any recommendations? I have post pics of the plugs from both seats if required. Cheers Neil
Neil , The heated seats in the 06 are controlled and powered in a totally different way than the 03 the lattered are powered from the CEM (CENTRAL ELECTRICAL MODULE ) and the former from the climate module thru a LIN bus system (LOCAL INTERCONNECT NETWORK) the harness is different so the plugs will not match . Much easier to instal the seat leather over from one seat to the other , take a good look to see if the pattern is the same and be very careful that all wiring is attached proper for the SIPS bags . Mister T.
Hi Neil,,been chatting to someone lastnight regarding your seats..hes done similar conversion..the extra plugs could be for SIPS if the seats where off Ebay be very cautious especially if the car was damaged heavy..
