New iBook, Mac OS 10.3.7, and PT 6.7?

I'm setting up a little rig for a client of mine and have suggested she purchase a new 1.2GHz 12" iBook to run her Mbox. Being that she's purchasing new, the iBook will come preloaded with 10.3.7 - is anyone running a similar iBook/Mbox rig on 10.3.7 with PT 6.7? How's it going? Thanks...

Im running a G4 Ibook 1.33 with 002R, 10.3.7 and 6.7 all is well

I am considering getting an ibook as well. How much ram do you guys have? What is a decent amount of ram needed in order to run a basic pt setup using only maybe.. 8-10 tracks? Thanks in advance!

Hello all I am using a 1.33 GHz iBook with 768 MB of RAM, OS X v 10.3.7 and a Digi 002R. Works great! Remember to turn off journaling on the system hard drive if you are recording to the hard drive. I recorded a live gig a week ago. 8 tracks - 4 hours in PT LE 6.7cs5. Flawless! Cheers AAB

Hey Art Braun, Was that 8 tracks to the internal drive or an external Firewire drive? I'm a PC user but am just making the upgrade from a 001 to 002R and hope to move over to a Mac during the course of the year and am eyeing out the 12" G4 iBook or the new Mac Mini, if it works well with PT. What is the largest session you can have comfortably run on your iBook as far as number of audio tracks/auxes/midi etc. Thanks Matt

I have run it almost to the max. 27 audio channels, eq's on most, compressors on bass, kick, main output, etc... It works quite well. Sometimes I just needed to unplug my USB hub. I'm using an external drive for audio with an mBox on a 12" iBook G4 w/768 RAM
