Head light adjuster

Hi all at my last mot I was told the head light adjuster was broken, after driving down a country lane last friday my off side headlight was well above the nearside. Is there anyway you can adjust it without the adjuster, or is it easy enough to change the adjuster many thanks for your help.

Assume you mean the adjuster inside the car, if so look for the big blob wire wires coming out on the back of the headlight behind the dipped beam section. On there you'll see a 6mm white hex head, twiddle to your hearts content.

Headlamp adjuster 

It sounds like the adjusters come free from the unit inside the headlamp - its only a ball in a groove type of arrangement, and if you go too far one way, it will pull out! - best way to mend is to take the headlamp out - remove the rear covers and bulbs to get your hand in and pull the inner unit back onto the adjuster - quick thought, if it has come off, then the adjuster motor unit will come off the back of the headlamp real easy (a little turn one way or the other!)
