Anyone used Ridata DVD-R blanks?

I have burned many DVD-Rs with RIDATA DVD-R /DVD-RW,It is very well. RiDATA is the most famous CD-R,DVD-R manufacturer in TAIWAN.

I have not tried the Ridata dvd yet but have plans to order some. I have some princo on order and am sad to see that others are having the same problems with them that I am having with the meritline purple ones. Just out of curosity I took one of the purple ones that I have that jumps and locks up near the end of the movie and colored the edge of the dvd with a black magic marker, thinking that the laser was deflecting out the edge of the dvd and was not getting a good reflection, if you look at the edge of the dvd that I have it appears to have some little pits in it, Although it did not correct the problem, it was not nearly as bad about freezing up. I think that if we take some of our coasters and maybe polish the edge with some fine sandpaper and smooth up the edge then maybe that is where the problem with the disk is. I found this site selling the DVD-R media for $2.20 and since I found it I have purchased 2 of the 100 packs from them. The quality is great, they are very sturdy and I have not had one fail yet. Play in all standalones I tried and played well in ps2. Here is the site I found in case anyone would like to know: Movieguru :D

Ridata DVD-R 

I just puchased a Pioneer A03 burner and a box of 25 Ridata discs through Shop4Tech. I think $2.99US per disc is a good current price considering that they're branded and come individually packaged in full size jewel cases. The ones I got have a purple dye and although I've only burned a couple of disks so far they both play fine in my year old Apex AD700 and my girl friend's Panasonic RV32 DVD player. Mark
