my first exploding sound!

i have NEVER heard the exploding sound before- the one explained on the duc. i just got it on my system for the first time ever. the only new thing to my computer including everything - not just pro tools, is the addition of the grm tools plug in demo. i had the delay instantiated, and set, and playing while adjusting the digirack limiter on the master fader. i had the mouse button held down and was adjusting the threshold when i heard this supreme full spectrum distortion, watched the output meters of the limiter plug in (but not the input meters) go full scale, red lites, for about 1-3 seconds and then a complete lock up of my computer. i have never seen a system freeze uder os8.6 i have never seen a freeze like this since os8.0. the sound stopped when the computer froze. no mouse, no force quit, a "three finger salute" was necessary. not complaining, just thought i'd report it. 8600/300 224ram 5400rpm scsi (2drives) 5.0.1 pt dae 60mb pt (went back to digi preffered size)

No, lunch man got ran around in circles but some guy in this section has a thread and he attributes it to the digirack long delay plug in which I also had on my vocal track. He can produce it over and over again. Check it out. I am still getting pops on aux plugs of which I never got a response at all. I just hope it doesn't happen too often.
