solo tracks without button?

Is there any way to solo tracks without using the solo button and or control/keypad?

Group all the other tracks? and mute one of them? Eh? what are you asking really? You want to solo by blinking 3 times? Or singing the national anthem? Seriuosly, How would you like to solo?

Logic has a region solo tool... where you click on a region and play and it'll play in solo... Pro Tools doesn't have anything like that... you must use the solo buttons. Rail

You can use Start-5 shortcut select the region you wish to solo and {Start - 5 }Its good just for "listen" Not for editing or,,,

aah, yes , i see your point. you can ALT click on an audio file in list on the right, but i guess that's just as fiddly. if you could implement these actions on the keyboard i suppose then digidesign wouldn't sell as many control surfaces. we can hope...
