I would like to record with the Line 6 Guitar Port into Pro Tools Digi 001, can that be done without having to use the rack input ie: to keep it all digital. Can I record into Digi with my Sound Blaster card. Thanks Ajay
I've been wondering how that Guitar Port thing works. So your guitar sounds from the Line6 Guitar Port come out of your Sound Blaster? Which Sound Blaster card do you have? If you have a Sound Blaster Live type card you can keep it all digital. No, Pro Tools will not use the Sound Blaster directly. But you can run the Sound Blaster's digital out (S/PDIF 48kHz) into the Digi 001's RCA S/PDIF in. I do this all the time to make use of my SB Live's Soundfont capabilities. Mike
Actually the output from the Sound Blaster goes to the Guitar Port and you can monitor it through the headphone out on the guitar port, or use the RCA outs on the Guitar Port to go to monitors, and listen it to it that way. It's very cool! The Sound Blaster card I have is 5.1 Live. Thanks for the advice, I don't know why I didn't think of using the SPDIF. Thanks Ajay
