Problem Naming Tracks

For some reason, I am unable to name tracks. I type the name in the appropriate spot, but when I hit enter it vanishes. This is true even for the sample project. The name is visible on the media file in the editor window, but not on the track. I've gone through the user guide & it seems like it should be easy. I've searched the forum to see if anyone else has had this issue, but nothing has turned up. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something?

Hmmmmm....just a guess here.... do you need to move the tracks over farther to the right? Ya know....where the line divides the box with the volume control and such and the tracks themselves. Grab the line and drag it to the right. This probably isn't the problem....just a thought though.

This is probably not it but is your track text colour somehow set the same as the background of the track panel? Doubt that's it but thought i'd try and help anyway! ;)

I appreciate the suggestions. Unfortunately neither one worked. This is a head-scratcher...there's got to be something simple I'm overlooking.

I tried it again this AM & Musicbynumbers had the right answer. Gawd do I feel dim. Thanks guys. I really do appreciate the help.
