Is it possible? Set Start & End Points of Time Selection separate from playhead?

Hello guys, I've set my mouse modifiers for the Ruler with left mouse click to: ctrl + click - Time Selection: set start point alt + click - Times Selection: set end point (like in cubase) It works great, but only when reaper stands still. When the playhead runs during playback, the end and start point only goes to the current position of the playhead. That sucks. Is there a way to move the start and end points independently?
