Thanks much! My 120GB hard drive has been shipped. Questions. Do you keep a copy of audio files on both the "C" drive and the new hard drive? I think you are making good sense on when to upgrade to 6.1. At that time, if I don't use the net on my music computer- will I be able to get the upgrades on disc from Digi? or will I need to get on line? Thanks for the good input.

i keep my session files on my "d" drive, and a backup on my "e" drive. i dont keep session files on my "c" drive". however, if you have enough sapce on the c drive, i suppose you could backup your sessions to it. i'm pretty sure the 6.1 upgrade will be available for download. i'm also pretty sure you can get it on disc as well.

convert from Win 98SE to XP

My Digi 001 works pretty well using the Win 98SE. I'm not the best at computers but pretty good on the 001. I'm also buying another internal hard drive as recommended. Should I upgrade to XP? I have all the 001 Factory plug-ins and an Amplitube plug-in for Win 98SE. Will I have trouble going to XP? Will I loose any plug-ins or authorizers? Will I need an upgrade of PT? Maybe this is simpler than I know. I figure I can install the new hard drive and move my audio files in case something screws up then get the XP and maybe an upgrade to PT that will work onthe XP. I don't use my music computer on the net- so will that present a problem for getting an upgrade? Thanks for any help!
