Newbie- Encountering a Large Problem.

Hello all, So I have recently purchased a Peavey PV6 USB mixing desk which came with the reaper software included. I have been running a guitar and a vocal microphone through my desk and into my computer. I have used two tracks within one project. After rcording though the two tracks save seperately, one being vocal, the other being the guitar. I would like to know how to save my two recorded tracks as one file. Any help will be much appreciated, Thanks Ben.

Hi Ben and welcome to the Reaper forums! :) There are many ways to save them as one file. The question is, in which way you want them to be saved. Do you want to have a mix or do you want to have them saved as one file but the signals still should be detached from each other? -Data

Hello and welcome to the REAPER forums. This is multitrack recording Ben, that's how REAPER works. Your next steps are to balance these two tracks so the levels are to your liking, and then to mix-down or "render" them into a stereo file. 1) Move your tracks' faders until you are happy with the balance. 2) Select File, Render. Choose your output file type (eg 44k1 wav, 16-bit, stereo, for CD) and a name and folder location for it to be written to. Click the "Render" button and REAPER will mix-down and write you a new audio file.
