ProteusX2 problem

No one else is having these problems or can make any suggestions?

sounds like there may be some control messages within the Traction midi files that X2 doesn't like. Have a look through the traction midi files within Reaper (without loading any vst's) and see if there are any odd patch change messages or similar - could be a message that X2 doesn't support.

I will look, but I don't think that is it. From my above post: "I then made up some quick midi files in Reaper for 3 tracks with ProteusX2 on each track. No crash. BUT. If I change the sound in 1 of the instances then it crashes." It still crashes playing midi files made in Reaper.

I have had problems with emulator 1.5 and 2.x when rendering faster than realtime, though curiously if I rendered just the part of the track that had midi, it did render faster than realtime. My experience with emulator and to a lesser degree proteus VX is that they are a bit on the flakey side, especially if more than one instance is loaded. When they work, they are great, but the tantrums they throw can be a bit tedious. - Joe - Rockrooms Studio
