Help Me Record

Have two questions. First- when I record everything records in a phaser sound and can't fig out to make it stop. The FX is not on and I'm talking even on a new template. Then sometimes i record on a file and when i record it picks up what i already have recorded and dubs on top and is very loud, terrible and annoying! Please help me with some ideas of what to do!

Are you using your computer's built in soundcard? Find your recording audio control panel and mute the "Stereo Mix" from the recorded audio.

Or sometimes you have to mute the "Line in" or "Aux" volume under PLAYBACK
