Hard drive causes audio pops

hi! I've been having trouble with audio pops and clicks recently, and i've finally located it to my audio hard drive. Tried recording to c: with all kinds of buffers and it's all good. My music drive, d:, is another physical drive, not just a partition. So, my question is, anybody had this type of problem, and has anybody got a solution? Is my disk going to shit? Dang, that might've been three questions :D

try to perform defragmentation 'mydefrag' is good tool, use preset 'data disk weekly or monthly'..

yeah, should've probably mentioned that i analysed the disk with defraggler, and there was no framentation. Thx for the tip tho :)
