Q: Key-switching implementation methods

Not quite - I understand what they can do - change articulation, invoke a script etc. What I'm looking for is how different developers have implemented them in terms of the human-keyboard interface. -- can you press a key then release it? -- or do you have to hold it down? -- does pressing one key cancel others? -- does the velocity matter? -- does the channel matter? -- can you press some key combination? etc etc

seems like you covered all the bases I've ever seen DS.
