Reaper VS SAW- my observation

Just for the record, the ProDigi and Dash format recorders both had analog to digital converters in them, they didn't share the same source material on tape if they both recorded *analog* separately However, having both the prodigi machines and the dash machines, I routinely made safeties of 24 tracks from one to the other. More than once, I made a point about the reliability of sounds stored on digital tape by playing both machines together with the copies almost nulling each other out (despite having different digital to analog converters!) As occam's razor would suggest, the person making the supernatural claim bears the onus of evidence. If you can show a test contradicting the myriad of comparisons already done, double done and don e to death, we're all ears

Actually, Integer math programming instead of typical floating point. That can make difference.

It seems to me that there could be a difference in what you hear on playback versus what is rendered. Don't get me wrong though, I can't see any real world advantage for such a feature. I mean, who would want that? It really defeats the purpose, no?

Just because the meter does not register anything, that DOES NOT mean that there is a null. I had this problem with pipeline's prevous attempt to prove things nulled... reaper, and I presume many other daws, can show -inf even if there is some very low lever signal. That is just a fact, or at least it was last I checked. You can modify the resolution of the meters and see that the tests fall apart and thing DO NOT null. Now, do I really care. No, but don't say others are ABSOLUTELY WRONG when your "proven" tests are not actually absolutely proven.

Well, if there are a couple of samples of difference left, that's entirely the blame on the different dithering algorithms used, if those were used. If no dither was used, everything should null. And come on people, we're talking about -90 dB of gain?! Nobody in their right mind CAN'T hear that stuff on normal listening levels. Big deal. It's all the same.
