how to repair the recurculation motor at no cost, the dealer time for this is about 3 hours,but this is a way arround not having to dismantle the dashboard. paul

Hi Mat, probly u ve a dry leave or an Italian bee in one of those ventilation conducts... u can hv a look into the blower-motor and cabin-filter which all this is in the glovebox area. Under the glove-box slaken once and remove the 2 retaining screws and remove this passenger side lower panel from the facia, see fig. A in my pic I used once to explain to fellahs how to change or clean cabin-filter. Once removed u have access to the blower-motor and to the cabin-filter. You can continue to slaken and remove the retaining screws and free the relay from the underside of the blower-motor housing. Then disconnect the wiring connector and undo 3 retaining screws and manoeuvre the motor assembly out of pos. Check and clean all also u can manoeuvre out the cabin-filter clean it carefully. hope this helps a bit. good luck ! saludos .

thanks for the responses. Paul, with your method can i just pull/cut the cable feeding into the servo to kill the recirculator? i rarely use the recirc to be honest. cheers, Mat.

Before you chop the recirc cable, think about the vehicle re-sale, an hour now to fix it will give any future buyer one les reason to walk away.... If they don't pick it up, think how p1ssed you'd be if you just bought the car and found that.....

yes true. i'll probably have go at fixing it, although if i can simply unplug it for the time being i might be tempted... if i did sell it, i'd tell them the recirc motor is unplugged. i'm an honest type ;)
