PT6 and Direct-Connect?

There was a rumor a few months ago that the initial release of PT6 would not support Direct-Connect. Does anyone know the skinny on this?

It WILL support Rewire though.

Yes, eric, this is awfully important. I realize that this is the kind of thing digi doean't like to talk about, but it's a critical issue. There is simply no chance of my ever using PT without D-Connect. that's not an option. I have to assume that there was some kind of technical problem, perhaps with OSX implementation? can you tell us ANYTHING? Can you at least say that D-Connect will definitely be happening at SOME point, or is it possible that it can't be implemented at all? Is Digi commited to supporting this concept, or will D-C go the way of SD-II, MLCD, and SSD: Abandoned because it's no longer convenient? Please tell us SOMETHING. This is really serious.
