Better than that ... dobule-right-click the piano key. Then you can type in a note name or comment or ... Big pic: Also when you have entered the note names you can save the names in a file and load it onto other tracks. The file is a .txt file so you can edit it in Notepad too. (See the attachment.) For identifying the channels, I just add a comment to one of the unused notes. HTH

True, with a bit of preparation you could create alist and add it to each used channel: It's what I've done a few times. You only need to do it once for the track.
