Volvo 480-Front lights wont go up nor down.

Hi on my 480 the front lights won't go up nor down.Its been like it for nearly 2 years now. I have replaced bonnet switch with one from the scrapyard, checked fuse and I know motors work as have tried lights in another 480 and seen them move up and down. I have new bulbs in day running lights. What else is their to try? Thanks in advance, Matt.

Wrong bulbs will stop them working! If you got the bulbs from Halfords they supply the wrong ones! Put the old ones back and see if that works!

Volvo 480-Motorised lights 

Have put brand new bulbs in from volvo.Still not working, although only 1 day running light is coming on and is dim, what would cause this and would this effect the circuit for the motorised lights. Apparently there is a tall relay to supply motors on lights, but all mine are the same size.Should I try getting one from scrapyard and fitting it? If so which relay is it they have letters on mine on the plastic next to the relays which one is it as my bit of paper saying which relay is which is missing, which is confusing. If someones got a pic of the bit of paper can they put it on the forum please Its a 2 litre 1993 480. Thanks in advance, Matt.

Pop up lights 

hi try relay f this supplies the pop up lights if the same model as mine should be in triangular section under bonnet part number 3412653-2 hope this helps I aquired the parts manual and is installed on my pc
