DVD backup with Toast

For those of you backing up in this manner, do you bother waiting for the verification? Adds a lot of time to the process, is it OK to skip this step?

It's Best To Verify. If there's anything wrong with the burn and you didn't verify, you will be in trouble.

Not a good idea to skip this process. It's quite common to have verification fail due to a bad sector etc. and the disc will be useless to you. Not a pleasant surprise to find that out later when you know longer have the session on your drive. I'ts worth the wait, let it run overnight.

I skip the verify and use that same time to archive to a 2nd media usually on a different format.

I've had a couple of failed verifys on a new Mac with new media - definately worth the extra time I'd say.

strange that u cant take incremental bkups on DVD's using toast... or am i missing something...?
