works fine for doing the actual audio part of the process, just dont work for the authoring, track numbering, burning etc part of the process. your kinda stuck if you want to crossfade one song into another and have a track marker, little things like that become a problem at times. i still have to pull the songs into cd architect to do all that kind of stuff. there are programs much more suited and developed strictly for this.
Back in the days, it would take a couple of hours to compile all of your mastered songs in to one "final master tape". Lets not get confused with the Actual mastering of songs, and getting the master ready for replication. Two completely different tasks. PT is not a software program that can compile your songs into one final master the way some other mastering programs can, it was not created that way. If you put one song after the other, and create one big long session, you have at your dispossal all of the editing tools PT offers, crossfades, TCEX, if you have 7.4 you can use EA. etc. Bounce that session and you will have a final master. If you put it on a cd it will play as one long big song though. You can definitely master ITB with PT, getting your song ready for replication is another thing.
