Do the VSCO2 Rompler or any bigcat VSTis work?

I've gotten a number of reports of problems with the various VSTis I've put out. Crashing Reaper, not loading, etc... Has anyone been able to use them? Are you having problems with them? Any feedback appreciated.

I never had probs when testing your older VSTi's ...as I think you know, but don't know about that VSCO2 stuff.... I'm willing to try it though... where to get an example?

I think there is a problem with how Reaper is dealing with your audio out channel information. Your VST's come up in Reaper as having 32 outs which doesn't seem right to me. Usually (but not always) upon loading your plugins, Reaper gives the option of adding 16 new stereo tracks...that would be pointless I think with these plugins. Now, regardless of whether the 16 new tracks are chosen or not, Reaper crashes if the plugin is 'removed' and then an attempt is made to re-load it....gives a "runtime error R6025 pure virtual function call". Another thing, some of your plugs have the notes displaced an octave...middle C is 72 instead of 60...not a big problem as can transpose the notes before they hit the plug, but just wondering whether this could be confusing Reaper..probably not...just a thought.

I did use some of your older ones in the past but never experienced any issue. Not sure about new ones though.

Any VI created in Maize are "gifted" with those unused channels, AFAIK. And i don't think Xiang have any plan to change it in the near future, by reading his email reply. Which is quite sad. About the crash, I have mixed up experience with them, including my own instruments and the Sonatina series. Sometimes they're pretty stable, sometimes they crash, or stuck when loading a project, and in a very rare ocassion they could even change notes within a random spot. I still wish Maize Sampler will have more attention from it's creator and eventually get all these bugs fixed one day.

Thanks that is quite informative. It seems like Maize is inherently unstable in certain situations and not much I can do about it. That is sad. Ah well I'm trying to rework the Kontakt versions using modwheel crossfading and other scripts and at least I'm fairly sure Kontakt works OK. Now whether I can get the scripts working right and get a good sound that is another story...
