Purge Valve

Hi guys, I have a 1994 850Turbo with a 3-1-5 and check engine light... I suspect it is the purge valve, and got myself a used purge valve. Here comes my problem... The part from my car has a bosch p/n 0280142302 but the part I got has a p/n 0280142300. The place I bought it from told me that it is a newer part and should work on my car. BUT the electrical lead wouldn't fit. Now, before I start cutting up wires, I do want to ask the wise and knowledgable experts out there... "Will this valve work?" James
