Who's using Reamix and Why?

Hey Spike, Thanks for the tip but most of the posts I saw over there was from peeps that were just buying the book no real feedback...I kinda browsed through most of the pages, I could have missed something??

IMHO if you are a Reaper user you need this book. It is easy to understand & grasp, and will get you using Reapers Routing to great effect in no time. It comes with a link to 3 full mix examples to use in the Tutorials. It explains some of the standard effects that come with Reaper and how to use them. (which in itself makes it worth reading! LOL) It is a great intro to Advanced Mixing Technics, tho I still say they are Reaper-Centric. They will not transfer over to other DAW's that easy because of the use of Reapers Routing Matrix. Tho it is slim in page count, the information does not quit thru out, no filler, just usable info from start to finish...it is like one huge Tutorial. It is worth the $$ IMHO. +1 to everything Smurf said. There are some fantastic techniques illustrated there that really utilize Reaper's routing system in ways that I would never have thought of otherwise. Highly recommended!

I have a copy that I still haven't had time to sit and finish cover to cover due to lack of time to work through the tutorials. But it is a great book that details exactly how to get great mixes with Reaper specifically. It goes beyond most tutorials or manuals by giving you some real world examples of things. It assumes you have at least an intermediate or just above beginner understanding of Reaper so you don't waste a lot of time with basic stuff that most people can figure out in 5 minutes. It just dives right into the meat and potatoes of mixing.

It's is good to have this book. Lots of clear examples that you can use right away in your own mix's. This along with the manual is very handy. Bardo

what's good about it compared to other mix books is the detailed explanation of setups for many mixing techniques. It saves you time trying to figure out the actual application other books I have are short on how exactly to set things up

But I gotta tell ya i was convinced to pull the trigger on the downloadable issue and I'm only on page 25 and its already worth the price of admission!! I've been making a living as an engineer since around '93 in various studios here in LA and with home equiptment (did alot of live recording also with one of the main trucks for over 6 years) and This book is INSANE! Just the shortcuts alone is worth the $12 bucks and features he gives us are incredible...Like most working engineers we just get the basics and improvise as we go, ask other guys who are working on the same equipment how to do different things, pick up tricks and shortcuts here on the chat lines ALMOST anything but sit with a manual and read ( I know some of you guys have more patience than me) so JUST invaluable for me so far and now I can't wait to get to the mixing part and see all the things I've been missin'! (-:

darn, i just got the home recording book featuring reaper, should have gotten this at the same time. no worries, this one is next as soon as i finish the other one!
